While browsing Nokia Download the other day on my phone I came across something new (very rare) which seems like something that it’s about time someone wrote.
It’s an application called JoikuSpot that connectes your phone to 3G and then uses the wifi chip as an access point instead of a client.
Ok so if you just want to connect a laptop to the web it’s easier to just connect your phone via a cable or bluetooth but some devices either can’t run the Nokia software (like an iPod touch) or maybe you’re using Linux and it’s just way more complicated to get it to connect via your phone. With this software you pretty much just run it and connect to the access point as you would with any other.
The other benefit of course is that you can connect multiple devices at once.
